How does it work?
Wireless Broadband works by connecting you to the nearest cell tower. It’s fast and easy to get set up. No underground cables are needed – once you have your pre-configured CyberCom router, you plug it into a power socket and you’ll be good to go. All you need is mobile coverage.
What is the sign-up process?
Sign up HERE . CyberCom will send you a pre-configured router. It will be plug and play.
What are the internet speeds?
Speeds can vary based on distance from the nearest cell tower and the number of individuals connected to that cell tower. However, the speed will be as fast as the technology allows. CyberCom doesn’t throttle speeds at all.
Can I use my own router?
No. CyberCom is very particular about the hardware they use. It is paramount that the hardware doesn’t fail and is always functional. They need to provide the entire solution so they service that is being provided is of exceptional quality. CyberCom has a positive reputation in New Zealand and we are very brand-conscious. CyberCom will actually own the router and will replace the router from time to time, as new better technology becomes available.
How many devices can I connect to the router?
Essentially unlimited. The limitation or bottle-neck will be the cell tower and how much bandwidth it can deliver.
I noted it says unlimited data. After a certain amount of GB usage, is the speed throttled?
Absolutely not. We know most of our competitors do this, but we refuse to. It is truly unlimited. Full speed. It’s all you can eat.
